Friends of Circa,
Two years ago, John Adams, President of the John Adams Companies, formulated the idea of a multi-purpose history center designed to renew the spirit of liberty bequeathed to Americans by the Founding Fathers. Having observed the deficiency of knowledge of the past and the subsequent decline of civic virtue in our nation in general, and witnessing the practical results of such ignorance, Mr. Adams created a new business to call Georgians, and hopefully, people from far and wide, back to what made America great. The Circa History Guild was created to that end.We believe that God has blessed our efforts to provide interesting and stimulating learning opportunities. We have offered forty public lectures and programs so far in 2009 and the historian and curator of Circa, Bill Potter, has lectured nineteen times to civic, school, church, and private organizations outside the Lyceum, Circa’s program theater. Ellen Adams and Bill Potter have presented twenty-five programs in our “Little Patriots Story Hour” on Mondays. Circa has hosted fifteen different groups, both private and educational, at the Circa venue.
And you who receive this letter have providentially been a part of the Circa efforts in some way, even if it’s just keeping up with our newsletters or praying for our success. From the beginning we have intended to create formal memberships and to charge a modest fee for our programs. Many of you have asked about joining and we have, till now, sought merely to establish our presence and build interest in our mission and goals. We have decided to institute our membership plans at this time.
In recent months, Circa has experienced some economic hardships. If you believe in our goals and have attended our programs or read the essays on our website and are zealous for the continued success of our efforts, perhaps you could join the Guild at a higher donation level than in times of peace and prosperity.
Attached you will find the criteria for membership in The Circa History Guild.
If you know of someone that might be interested in Circa please pass this along.
Our next program will be Thursday, October 15th at 7:00. The speaker will be Bill Potter, Circa Historian, and the program is entitled “Three Georgians on the RMS Titanic.”This will be a “Liberty Lecture” and will cost $5.00 per person for non-members.

The Circa History Guild Endorsement
The Circa History Guild is bringing to light long forgotten truths of American history. They are preserving for the next generations the guiding principles of the founding fathers. They are presenting and recording the stories of the men who have fulfilled their duty to defend America from her enemies. We have made the Guild a regular visit whenever programs are offered.
~ Gordon J. Duquemin, Maj. Gen. (ret.)
The Circa History Guild enriches its entire community in so many ways. Inspiring young students by sharing America’s ideals and history. Encouraging adults with poignant reminders of America’s uniqueness. The Guild serves its members by providing a place that grounds us in our shared values. And the Guild calls us back to our core principles, the principles with which God has blessed America.
