On Friday night and all day Saturday, August 21st and 22nd, Circa will be the scene of an exclusive display of one of the most important and interesting firearms of American history—The Kentucky Rifle. Henry and Wayne, members of the Kentucky Rifle Association are going to set up their award-winning KENTUCKY RIFLE as an art form display at Circa and hang around to talk about the importance of the rifle,  as well as the finer technical points of the weapons. If you have an old black powder gun or powder horns and want to know about them or their value, bring them either Friday or Saturday.

On Friday night, the 21st, Bill Potter will talk briefly about the movement westward over the Appalachians into Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio. The program will start at 7:00pm.

Saturday, August 22nd at 7:00pm - Impersonator of Simon Kenton at Circa! kenton.bmpOn Saturday the 22nd at 7:00pm, we will welcome an impersonator of the frontiersman, Simon Kenton. Kenton was more famous than Daniel Boone among the Shawnee tribes, as well as other frontiersmen in Kentucky and Ohio. This will be a family oriented program as Simon Kenton tells his frontier stories with the Kentucky rifle displays as background. That unique weekend will be an opportunity to learn about America’s westward expansion, the men and women who made it possible and the weapons that kept them alive (but not always).
