Thursday night, July 30th at 7:00pm - Vietnam by Col. Robert Faulkender

Our first program on the Vietnam War, appropriately, will be Col. Robert Faulkender, author of the book Filtered By Time, an account of the successful American advisor program in Vietnam in 1964. Before the full-fledged military commitment of the United States in Vietnam, there were American troops training the South Vietnamese, to prevent further communist successes in their country. A controversial and much disputed foreign policy strategy, the advisor program has come under much scrutiny and press misinformation. Col. Faulkender was a Captain on the ground in those days and has decided opinions on the events of the early ‘60s. We will gather at 7:00pm on Thursday, July 30 for this program. Invite Vietnam Vets and anyone else who might want to fill in a historical gap.
