Friday night, February 6th at 7:00, Dr Lucas Morel

We are privileged to have Dr. Lucas Morel, Associate Professor of Politics at Washington and Lee University, currently involved in the James Madison project at Princeton University, as our speaker on Friday night, the 6th of February at 7:00. Professor Lucas is a nationally known historian of the life of Abraham Lincoln. His first book on Lincoln was entitled Lincoln’s Sacred Effort: Defining Religion’s Role in American Self-Government and is currently working on a book to be entitled Lincoln, God, and Emancipation. The title of Dr. Morel’s lecture will be “Lincoln, Race, and the Spirit of ‘76″. I hope we will have to use our benches to handle the overflow attendance.
